Use it for the drives Abu Dhabi is made for – out to Al Ain and up the Jebel Hafeet mountain road, west toward the Liwa dunes, or a string of Dubai meetings in one day. It is a GCC-spec 2.0-litre automatic with a bronze interior, a boot for three bags, rear climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, parking sensors and automatic emergency braking.
AED 325 buys a day; AED 2,110 buys a week, roughly AED 301 a day, AED 165 below the cost of seven daily rentals. The monthly rate is AED 4,650 – about AED 155 a day – but here kilometres are capped: the listing says 4,500 km, while Thrifty's note calls it a special offer with a maximum of 2,500 km, so check before committing. Past the cap you pay AED 1 per km.

Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: unlimited on the daily rate, 4,500 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 1 per km. For scale: Abu Dhabi to Dubai and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 2,500, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.
