A black-and-white exterior over a red interior makes this First Edition hard to miss outside a Palm Jumeirah hotel, yet it is just as happy on a long, quiet motorway run – a day trip to Abu Dhabi with friends in the back, for instance. Rear passengers get their own TV screens, a fridge and a panoramic roof; the driver gets a head-up display, navigation, memory power seats and blind-spot mirrors. One caveat: the listing allows for a single medium bag, so check with the company before an airport run with suitcases.
The weekly deal is the one to look at. AED 6,300 divided by seven is exactly AED 900 a day, AED 3,500 less than paying the daily rate seven times, and it includes 1,750 km. Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: 250 km on the daily rate, 1,750 km on the weekly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 10 per km. For scale: Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 2,000, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. To skip the deposit, ask for the zero-deposit option: a one-off fee that is not refunded. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.
