The GTC is a grand tourer rather than a track toy, which suits Dubai's cooler months perfectly: roof down along Jumeirah Beach Road, dinner at Dubai Harbour, then a slow cruise home under the lights of Sheikh Zayed Road. It seats four, but the boot takes only one bag, so it works best for a couple or two pairs of friends travelling light. Massage and memory seats, a head-up display, a wireless charger and a Wi-Fi hotspot are on board.
Price-wise, a week at AED 7,700 averages AED 1,100 a day – AED 1,050 less than seven separate days – with the same 1,750 km. The monthly rate of AED 30,800 equals four weekly rates yet covers a full month rather than 28 days, although its 5,000 km allowance is lower than the 7,000 km that four separate weeks would carry. Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: 250 km on the daily rate, 1,750 km on the weekly rate, 5,000 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 15 per km. For scale: Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 5,000, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. To skip the deposit, ask for the zero-deposit option: a one-off fee that is not refunded. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.
