Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: 200 km on the daily rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 20 per km. For scale: Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 3,000, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. To skip the deposit, ask for the zero-deposit option: a one-off fee that is not refunded. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
Shortest rental: 2 days.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.

Driver & licence

Visitors from the GCC, the US, the UK, Canada, Europe and several other countries can drive on their home licence. Other visitors need an International Driving Permit; UAE residents need a UAE licence.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay a deposit for the Escalade?
The standard security deposit is AED 3,000, refunded within 30 days. Carlux 365 also offers a zero-deposit option – ask about its terms when you book.
How far can we drive on the two-day minimum?
Each day includes 200 km, so two days cover 400 km before surcharges start. Every kilometre beyond that is AED 20.
How does delivery work?
Delivery within Dubai is free. You can also collect the car yourself from the Jumeirah office, which is open around the clock. Remember that the minimum rental is two days (AED 2,200 before VAT).
