Boxy, upright SUVs are back in fashion, and the T2 delivers that look with an easy automatic for everyday driving. Five seats, space for two medium bags, a panoramic sunroof and a smart infotainment screen make it a pleasant companion for a weekend at Hatta’s dam and mountain trails, or an early-morning drive out to Al Qudra.
The minimum rental is two days: AED 598 with 500 km. Stretch to a week and the price is AED 1,795 – close to AED 256 a day and AED 298 below seven daily rates – with 1,750 km. A month costs AED 5,999, about AED 200 a day, with 4,500 km. Overshoot the allowance and it is only AED 4 per extra kilometre, which keeps an unplanned detour to Fujairah affordable. VAT of 5% and AED 5 per Salik crossing are extra.
Silver Key can bring the car anywhere in Dubai on request for a fee, or you can pick it up free from the 24-hour office in Al Garhoud. Tell them your dates early – an advance payment may be needed to lock them in.

Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: 250 km on the daily rate, 1,750 km on the weekly rate, 4,500 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 4 per km. For scale: Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 1,000, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. To skip the deposit, ask for the zero-deposit option: a one-off fee that is not refunded. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
Shortest rental: 2 days.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.
