The 1.5-litre engine is easy on fuel in Dubai traffic, the cabin seats five and the boot takes two suitcases: enough for the ride from the airport to a Jumeirah hotel, the daily school run or a day among Sharjah's museums.
The pricing is generous with kilometres: 300 km a day, 2,000 km a week and 5,000 km a month, with only AED 1 for every kilometre beyond that. A week costs AED 460, about AED 66 a day, and a month AED 1,390, roughly AED 46 a day. The minimum hire is two days (AED 138). Insurance is basic comprehensive; 5% VAT and AED 6 per Salik gate are added to the bill.

Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: 300 km on the daily rate, 2,000 km on the weekly rate, 5,000 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 1 per km. For scale: Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 1,000, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. To skip the deposit, ask for the zero-deposit option: a one-off fee that is not refunded. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
Shortest rental: 2 days.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.
