Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: unlimited on the daily rate, 3,000 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 0.35 per km. For scale: Abu Dhabi to Dubai and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 1,500, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.

Is there a mileage limit on the weekly rate?
No – both the daily and weekly rates come with unlimited kilometres. Only the monthly contract has a limit: 3,000 km, then AED 0.35 per km.
How and when is the deposit returned?
Dollar Car Rental holds AED 1,500 on your card and releases it within 30 days after the car is returned. Salik tolls, AED 5 per gate, may be deducted from it.
Can I pick the car up late at night?
Yes. The Yas Mall branch is open 24 hours, and collection there is free. Delivery elsewhere in Abu Dhabi can be arranged, possibly for a fee.
