The AED 500 deposit is refunded within 30 days of return.
Read the mileage carefully. The daily rate includes 250 km, but the weekly package (AED 3,900, about AED 557 a day and AED 650 less than seven single days) includes 1,400 km rather than 1,750 km. A month at AED 14,500 works out to roughly AED 483 a day with 4,500 km. Every kilometre beyond the allowance costs AED 10, so map long road trips before you choose a plan.

Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: 250 km on the daily rate, 1,400 km on the weekly rate, 4,500 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 10 per km. For scale: Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 500, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.

1,400 km for the week, fewer than seven daily allowances of 250 km. The week stays cheaper as long as you drive no more than about 1,465 km; beyond that, seven single days at AED 4,550 cost less, because every extra kilometre is AED 10.
Is the deposit really only AED 500?
Yes, El Coche lists a refundable AED 500 deposit for this Patrol, released within 30 days after the car comes back. Salik tolls (AED 5 per gate) and any extra kilometres may be deducted from it.
Can El Coche deliver the Patrol to the airport?
Dubai Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are on the fast-delivery list, though delivery and airport parking charges may apply. Or collect it free of charge at the Galadari Building in Dubai Production City between 10am and 10pm.
