When the whole family is coming, including grandparents, the Opel Zafira 9S solves the seating puzzle in one go. This 2023 minivan seats nine, carries four bags and has five doors for easy access, with parking assist, steering assist, Bluetooth and USB ports. It is a relaxed way to cover Abu Dhabi's big-ticket days out: Ferrari World and Warner Bros. World on Yas, the Grand Mosque, then a drive out to Al Ain.

Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: 300 km on the daily rate, 1,500 km on the weekly rate, 4,500 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 2 per km. For scale: Abu Dhabi to Dubai and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 2,000, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
Shortest rental: 2 days.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.
