Daily rentals cost AED 650 with no kilometre cap, so a two-day trip comes to AED 1,300 regardless of distance. Long-term residents can take it for AED 11,999 a month — close to AED 400 a day and AED 7,501 less than thirty separate days — with 4,500 km included and AED 1 per extra kilometre.
Thrifty holds a AED 3,000 deposit, refunded within 30 days, and requires drivers to be 21 or older. Pick-up at the Downtown Fujairah branch is free on weekdays between 9:00 and 18:00; delivery can be arranged at extra cost.

Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: unlimited on the daily rate, 4,500 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 1 per km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 3,000, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.
