It works for a family week split between JBR beach days and a drive out to the Hatta dams, or for a group heading to a desert camp without booking two cars. The numbers are straightforward. Each day includes 250 km and every extra kilometre is only AED 1, so going 100 km over costs AED 100. Staying a month? Rental terms
Kilometres
Allowance: 250 km on the daily rate, 4,500 km on the monthly rate. Above the allowance you pay AED 1 per km. For scale: Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km.
Fuel
Like for like: bring the car back with the fuel level you received it with. If it comes back lower, the company refuels it and bills you, usually above pump price.
Security deposit
AED 1,000, blocked on your credit card rather than charged and released within 30 days of the return. A deposit paid by debit card, cash or transfer comes back by manual refund, which takes longer.
Rental rules
Basic insurance is part of the price; full cover with a lower excess is usually an extra.
A rental day is 24 hours from pick-up, so a return that is an hour late can cost a full extra day. Handing the car back early may change the rate you pay.

How much deposit does Formula Drive take for the Yukon?

What if I drive more than 250 km a day?
Every kilometre above the daily 250 km allowance (or 4,500 km on the monthly plan) costs AED 1, so a weekend detour to Hatta will not turn into a painful bill.
Can the car be brought to my hotel?
Delivery within Dubai is available on request and may carry a charge; the quickest drop-offs cover Dubai Marina, JBR, JLT, Palm Jumeirah, Bluewaters and The Greens. Collecting it yourself from Princess Tower is free, and the office never closes.
